On 24 November 2017, a ceremonial gala took place, summarizing the prevention and promotion activities of the State Labour Inspection in Lublin in 2017. During the gala the laureates of contests and prevention programs were awarded. The project of the expressway S17 Skrudki – Sielce was appreciated and won second place in this year’s contest “Build Safely”.
The award for Mota-Engil Central Europe was received personally by Andrzej Szkuat, deputy director of production and Seweryn Jocek, health and safety specialist.

On Friday, November 17th, the representatives of Mota-Engil signed a contract for the construction of the bypass of Tomaszów Lubelski in the presence of Minister Andrzej Adamczyk. The route will follow the east side of the city. At the intersection with the voivodeship road No 850, Tomaszów Lubelski North junction will be formed, and on the course of DK17 – junction Tomaszów Lubelski South. The bypass is foreseen to be a single carriageway, and within both junctions – double carriageway. Over the valley of Sołokija river, the road will run on the flyover. Additional roads with have a total length of 13.8 km. The drivers will be able to use the new road in the spring of 2021.
Integration and communication in Mota-Engil Central Europe is extremely important. That is why the company continues to implement a series of trainings and workshops for new employees in the field of safety, communication, data protection, quality management, HR and improvement. This time the workshops took place on 10 November in Cracow.
On November 6, a new Foundation buildingSMART Polska was created. Among the founders was Mota-Engil Central Europe.
The aim of the foundation is to build the bases for the organization associating the construction market, integrating BIM technology activities at national and international level.
buildingSMART is an independent, international non-profit organization that sets the direction of digitization in the construction industry by developing open, international standards for information exchange.
The founders share the values and goals of buildingSMART, the idea of openBIM, and the will to cooperate for the digitization in the construction area.

On November 9th, Mota-Engil Central Europe celebrated the completion of the reinforced concrete structure of the building A, VERMELO II in Cracow. The management of the site presented also the final aspect of the 1st stage of VERMELO, building B with external infrastructure and underground garage. We would like to thank contractor team and all the participants of the project for great cooperation, team work and great involvement in the project.
On Monday, 30 October, an agreement was signed for the realization of three sections of the S19 expressway from the end of Kraśnik bypass to Lasy Janowskie junction.
Mota-Engil Central Europe will design and build bypass of Janów Lubelski (approx. 7 km).
Task includes junctions:
– Janów Lubelski North,
– Janów Lubelski South,
– MOP Janów Lubelski (on both sides of the road),
and engineering objects:
– 3 viaducts along the expressway,
– 1 viaduct over the expressway,
– 1 bridge,
– 5 small animal crossings,
– 3 crossings for amphibians,
– 5 culverts.

Mota-Engil Central Europe, as part of the Support for Talents program, has granted new scholarships to employees’ children, this time for 2017/2018. It’s already the third edition of the program and the number of awared persons is still growing.
The goal of the scholarships is to support and encourage the best and most ambitious students and children of the company’s employees to develop their talents and expand their knowledge. The initiative has gained wide popularity, and the number of its beneficiaries is growing each year. In Poland, the programme is carried out within the long-term strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility, jointly by Mota-Engil Central Europe and the Manuel António da Mota Foundation.
On October 6th, the remaining part of the Nysa ring road within National Road 41 has been admitted to public traffic. It is a road of length of 9.1 km from the Nysa junction near “Gorka Hanuszowska” direction of Prudnik, to the roundabout near Niwnica. We wish all users a safe road to destination!
